Snow Day

winter

We have had quite the winter here in Chicago. It seems like the snowiest winter ever. Don’t get me wrong, I am not complaining…yet! I love the quietness that comes from the storm and right before the snow plows start working. It really is beautiful. We had to go up North on Saturday after our recent storm that left us with 12 inches of fresh snow. Instead of taking the highway, we took the back roads so I could take a few photos. I love this shot.

Molly: Ooh, very evocative! I love roads that disappear into the distance. If this were in the South, there would be cars in the ditches because all the "I have a 4 wheel drive, ergo I can drive in snow--NOT" would have come out...I'm thinking that would give this a different mood altogether :)

MIchael: Nice picture Mom! I was driving through 5 inches of snow this morning. We got a good amount of snow down here.

Candice: I love this. I am supposed to be in Chicago today, but after 5 hours in the airport I called it quits. Molly forgot mention that the cars would also be very dented. LOL

Eminx: wow, good picture. im enjoying the nice hot Costa Rican weather. Love you guys, miss you too. see you soon!

Traci: Very nice picture. I love the serenity. I feel that I should have gone out to shoot some pictures but dang if my camera didn't start crying when I talked about it. Oh well, I'll let her be a wimp and stay in with her. Maybe I'll steal your picture and call it my own. ;-) This is the internet, right? Traci
