Baby It’s Cold Outside

December 21, 2008

Photos can be deceiving can’t they? The sun maybe shining but temperature along with a wind chill kicker adds up to  -20 degrees. These are the days that make me regret leaving San Diego. In case you were wondering, yes, those are paths for the dogs.

Take that Mr. Greenview

December 16, 2008

I am not saying we are competitive at our household but we beat our neighbor to a clean driveway tonight. Every time it snows, the neighbor across the street is out there cleaning his driveway. We could have a blizzard overnight and when I woke up and looked out the window, and his driveway is clear. Was he up all night staying on top of it or what? So this winter, we received an early Christmas gift from Rick’s parents. Yes, folks, we are the proud owners of a snow thrower! We have been praying for snow so we could give it a test drive and tonight our prayers were answered. Five inches of beautiful fluffy snow fell! Rick waited until I got home and the minute the car pulled in, he had his hat in hand and was out the door. We bought a snow thrower that has an electric starter and let me tell you, what a great feature. Plug and play takes on a new meaning.

Our driveway was completely clean in about 10 minutes and Rick was looking for more!

Calendar

December 5, 2008

How cute is this calendar? I found it online at Broadway Paper. I met Tracie, the owner, at the Me Ra Koh workshop last month. I was reading her blog and saw this calendar. Each month has a different illustration by emilee rose. Stop by her Etsy store and if you think you might want to get this calendar stop by Broadway Paper and pick one up. I think this must be the most links in a post. ( Yes, I took this photo using my 50 mm, shooting raw, in manual mode )
