Tristan

August 27, 2008

Those who know me well, know that my dogs are usually my only subjects. Slowly, I am stepping outside the pug box and snapping other photos. Tristan has great eyes don’t you think? He, being the ever willing subject, agreed to let me snap away. He loved the photos and I have to say I think this one looks pretty darn good.

I shoot most of my photos in RAW. This gives me the opportunity to adjust all the things I did wrong when I bring it into Lightroom for post processing. I made some minor adjustments and gave it a bit of a color boost along with a  slight vignette kicker. Nothing like a vignette kicker to make me look like I know what I am doing. I should be getting Lightroom 2 this week. I cannot wait since they have added some wonderful new tools to this version.

She is growing up

August 23, 2008

Emma turned 19 this summer and has been to Ecuador twice in the last year. Last year at this time, we were dropping her off for her first year of college. This weekend she moved into a sorority house. My youngest joy has turned out to be an amazing young woman.

Baby Arabella

August 20, 2008

I happened to be out to dinner in Milwaukee and sitting at the table next to us was this adorable family. Arabella was just 7 weeks old and a beautiful little girl.  I fell in love with her full head of hair. She brought back sweet memories of when Emma was about the same age. Look at the joy in her mom’s eyes? She looks so happy.
